As the founder and principal advisor of Interlock Financial, making sure you feel secure and comfortable with your finances is at the heart of what I do. Making a difference in my clients' lives is extremely rewarding, and that is why I love what I do.

With more than 20 years of financial services experience, I understand that every client has a unique situation. Taking a proactive approach, I listen to your specific needs in order to design a plan that is right for you and your family.

I believe continuing education is the key to success and I am committed to continuing to educate myself on the financial markets and different financial products, enabling me to advise based on the latest insights. In collaboration with a vast network of resources and financial service professionals, we strive to implement the best possible solutions for you to achieve your financial goals.

A little more about me: I have worked for large and small investment firms over my 20-year career. After becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, I founded Interlock Financial so that I could dedicate my time to helping people achieve their financial goals. I have also earned the designations of Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and Certification for Long-Term Care (CLTC) which means I offer services end-to-end.

Outside of my work, I love being with my family and friends. My wife is my biggest fan, and together we share two girls and our beloved dogs Gryffin and Monte. We love to travel and teach our kids the value of family and hard work. When I can find a little extra time, I like playing golf or fishing - in search of the one that always seems to get away.

Donna L. Smith has 40+ years’ experience in the financial planning industry and was one of the female pioneers in the financial planning profession.  Donna’s career also includes the last 20 years as President and founder of Smith Financial Concepts, LLC. Over her career, Donna has advised high-net-worth individuals with their investments, insurance, and financial planning needs. Donna receives tremendous satisfaction helping clients accomplish their financial objectives. She currently holds several insurance licenses, including life, health, disability, and long-term care, in multiple states.

Donna graduated from Bethany College in West Virginia with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Postgraduate, Donna was a lab technician at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO.  After that, Donna transitioned to the financial sector because she wanted to be part of the dynamic and rewarding financial planning field and work with clients to achieve their financial dreams.

After marrying, Donna and her husband Jim lived in the north end of Bridgeport, CT, then moved to Trumbull, CT, where she lived with her family for 25+ years, eventually downsized as empty nesters and moved to Shelton, CT. Last year, Donna and Jim moved to Tampa, FL to be closer to their family.

During her time in Connecticut, Donna was very involved in various community activities.  She was the Vice President and then President of her Bridgeport, CT condominium association for 6 years, Co-Founder of the Bridgeport Coalition of Condominiums, and was an active member of WIM (Women in Management).  Donna also served on the Board of Directors of the former Bridgeport Jewish Community Center (JCC) and JCC Summer Camp Committee and was an active member of the Trumbull PTA during her son’s elementary school years.

During her leisure time, Donna and Jim love to travel and have enjoyed traveling to 6 of the 7 continents where they encountered some amazing experiences, people, places, and food. Donna and Jim have been fortunate to also include their children in many of their travel adventures to expand their horizons and cultural experiences.

Brittany holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and two minors in economics and marketing from Pace University in New York City. Brittany's academic background and passion for finance ignited a lifelong dedication to guiding clients toward financial success.

With a commitment to excellence, a client-centric approach, and a passion for financial well-being, Brittany continues to make a profound impact in the lives of those she serves.

Outside of work, Brittany enjoys rooting for the Green Bay Packers, attempting new recipes, and spending time with friends and family (especially her four-legged child, Ophelia).

As a Client Service Specialist at Interlock Financial, Shatsada Lovan will be your main point of contact and aims to deliver exceptional client service. With a background in finance, keen attention to detail, and outstanding interpersonal skills, Shatsada provides clients personalized service and timely resolutions. As the firm's first point of contact, Shatsada will ensure client satisfaction and help create long-lasting relationships.

Shatsada holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Central Connecticut State University School of Business, where she honed her analytical abilities and deepened her understanding of financial markets. With three years of hands-on experience in the financial services industry, Shatsada has developed a comprehensive skill set to navigate complex financial landscapes easily.

Shatsada is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys yoga, lifting, and outdoor sports outside of work. Also, she loves to travel and explore diverse cuisines and local restaurants with family and friends.
